The Lady Indians started their season off with a battle against visiting Hemlock but came up short 45-38. The Indians started slow and found themselves down by 3 to end the first quarter. In the 2nd quarter the Indians found their stride and took the lead only to have Hemlock tie the game 25 to 25 at halftime. The Lady Indians struggled early in the third quarter and were down by 8 but once again battled back to cut the lead down to 2 points 33 to 35 to end the 3rd quarter. In the fourth quarter Hemlock out scored the Indians 10-5 to put the game away 45 to 38. ” The girls played their hearts out tonight! I am very proud of all of them! We faced a tough opponent tonight, Hemlock is a good team. The girls never gave up and kept fighting till the end, as a coach that is all I can ask. I am proud of their efforts tonight and am excited about this team. We have a lot of areas that we need to improve on but I saw a lot of good things happening on the court tonight!”
