The Lady Indians’ traveled to Durand tonight for a conference match up and won 48-13. The Lady Indian’s are 5-1 on the season and 3-1 in conference play. Despite a cold night shooting, hitting 14 out of 65 shots, the Indians defense was the difference in the game. Chesaning jumped out to a 10-1 lead in the first and led 17 to 5 going into the half. In the third quarter the Indians’ pulled away outscoring Durand 20 to 6, jumping out to a 37 to 11 lead heading into the fourth. In the fourth Chesaning out scored Durand 11 to 2 sealing a 48 to 13 victory. ” We definitely did not play our best offensive game tonight, but our defense made up for it. I am happy that all of the girls scored tonight that was a highlight of the night. I am always proud of how hard we play and tonight was no different. Even though we struggled putting the ball in the basket the girls kept working hard.”
