Chesaning traveled to Clio for opening round of district play against the host Mustangs and lost in 3 sets. The Indians were led by Sidnee Struck with 6 service points, Jadyn Mathis and Erica Barta added 4 service points each while Barta also had 15 assists. Claire Greenfelder had 6 kills and Lauren Schirle led Chesaning with 11 digs, Katelyn Ferry 9 digs and Skylar Walser added 7 digs. “We started the night out very slow, I think they were a little timid about the Clio hitters. After the first game though I think we played with them but Clio was just too much in the end, probably one of the better hitting teams we had faced this year. I am very proud of these girls, they never quit and played hard tonight and all year. Even though we are losing some very strong players in this senior class I believe we certainly have something to build on for the future! As I said after Senior night, I want to thank our wonderful Seniors who have worked their tails off for this program, Erica Barta, Skylar Walser, Katelyn Ferry, Jadyn Mathis, Riley Dotson, Ralynn Lucio and Bretlyn Warner you will all be missed.” Chesaning finished the season at 13-20-8.
