The Indians were able to pick up their second win on the season as they traveled to St. Charles High School on Tuesday night. The Bulldogs started hot, hitting 6 threes in the first half and 9 on the game. Despite the strong shooting Chesaning was able to take a 3 point lead into the locker room at half. St. Charles narrowed the lead to 1 at the end of the third and eventually pushed to a 5 point lead midway through the 4th. The Indians then went to work going on a 10 point run behind huge baskets from Imari Hall and Jack Skaryd. Once in the lead the Indians relied on seniors Jacob Turnwald and Jarrett Kelley to ice the game from the line. “Very proud of the effort tonight by our guys. We came into this one a little banged up and with Cole going down in the 3rd we really needed some guys to step up. We had a great week of practice, all 10 guys worked extremely hard and it paid off.” The Indians return to action next Tuesday when they travel to Ovid-Elise to open up conference play.
