Chesaning Union High School

Chesaning High School varsity boys soccer was busy this week with two games in three days. Tuesdays game was played against Durand with a 0-1 loss but a solid defensive effort coming from Tantiun Devuyst, Jacob Jidas, Jackson Niewiadomski, Cade Lee, and Adrian Eaton. Durand scored 30 minutes into the game and the Indians battled to get a goal back for the remainder. Durand showed some physical style of play in which the Indians competed and help their composure well against the Railroaders. Thursday September 17th brought the Indians to Otis Lakeville HS for a second game in the week. With the Indians netting three goals in the first half and Lakeville only one. Oliver Keck got the scoring off with a cut back to the middle that allowed him to shoot and challenge the keeper. The next goal was scored by Seth Maynard and the final goal was an own from Jackson Niewiadomski, off a Lakeville defender The second half adjusted to a battle. They came back to tie it up with two goals making it 3-3. The Indians back line defended strong, and Jackson Niewiadomski, came back to help in defense showing up out of nowhere to clear balls away from opponents. A Penalty Kick-was called for Otisville that allowed them to go 4-3 against the Indians. Indians fell 3-4 to Lakeville on the road.
