Chesaning Union High School

Chesaning Varsity Soccer traveled to Birch Run this week. The first half the Indians looked to be the more competitive side with more shots on goal and solid defending from Jackson Niewiadomski, Jacob Jidas, Tantiun DeVuyst, and Cade Lee. With five minutes left in the first half CHS went one goal down with a simple cross from Birch Run and a difficult clearance for the Indians. With the start of the second half the Indians looked again to be the better team, but stumbled with a second goal going in off a free kick placed just under the bar of the goal. With 2-0 down the Indians battled the remainder of the game. Seth Maynard scored a lone goal in the final 10 minutes to make the game 4-1. Assisted by Oliver Keck. Chesaning will compete September 15, at home vs Durand kicking off at 6pm with their community youth night game.
