Chesaning Union High School

The Chesaning Indians Girls Varsity Volleyball team took on the Hemlock Huskies in a thrilling four-set match for their first home game of the season. Although Chesaning fell just short, losing 25-13, 24-26, 16-25, and 23-25, the Indians kept the fans on the edge of their seats throughout the night! Cora Ustishen led the offense as an outside hitter with 10 kills, while also making an impact defensively with 16 digs. Kaiya Huff added 7 kills and 19 digs, while Ruby Gross contributed 8 kills and 3 aces. Leigha Schneider had a strong night at setter with 28 assists and 4 aces. In the middle, Lydia Tithof added 3 kills and 3 blocks. Jordan Wendling played a great defensive game, finishing with an impressive 18 digs and helping keep the Indians in the fight throughout the match. It was a great first home match filled with energy, determination, and plenty of exciting volleyball. The Indians will use this match as a chance to reset, learn, and prepare for the remainder of the season.
